Theodore Alabama Pecan Festival 2008 performers schedule lineup
Theodore, Alabama — It’s so much fun to sip on hot chocolate under the stars while listening to local country musicians perform the music they love. The flashing lights of the rides. The excitement of the children. The parents strolling the grounds smiling and having fun. Those are the pictures of what you will find at the Alabama Pecan Festival. It’s the hometown festival with heart.
There are so many reasons to come to the Alabama Pecan Festival. For many folks it’s all about the music in the great outdoors. For others it is seeing those beautiful Azalea Trail Maids. And of course there are others who just love all the pecan pies, pecan candy and roasted pecans. Whatever your reason, get ready because it will be here soon. And the best of all reasons is that admission is free! There will be arts and crafts featured in the Community Center. Carnival games for the children and adults can be found on the grounds as well. Lots of great food besides all the yummy pecans include funnel cakes and corn dogs.
You can get your picture taken with the 2007 Alabama Pecan Festival Queen Chelsea Fenton and watch the new queen take her crown. Also the Shining Stars Talent Contest for children will be showcasing local talent ever day. Ages 5 and up are qualified to compete in this fun local competition. There’s also a talent contest for the adults as well as a songwriter’s contest.
